These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Jornada mobile application ("App") operated by Guilherme Teixeira de Mello ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Jornada is a travel planning application that allows you to:
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use the App.
To use certain features of the App, you must create an account using one of the following methods:
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
The App offers a free tier with limited features and a premium subscription ("Jornada Premium") that unlocks additional features, including the Explore and AI Assistant tabs.

Prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region. All prices include applicable taxes where required by law.
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via the App Store. Payment is charged at the time of purchase confirmation.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings or the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will continue to have access to premium features until then.
Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store's refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. You will be notified of any price changes in advance through the App Store, and any change will apply to your next billing period after the notification.
The App provides AI-powered travel recommendations and suggestions using third-party AI technology (Anthropic's Claude). These recommendations are generated based on information you provide, including your trip details and travel preferences.
AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any AI-generated recommendation. Place suggestions may contain inaccurate information, including incorrect addresses, hours, prices, or availability. AI recommendations do not constitute professional travel advice. You are solely responsible for verifying any AI-generated information before relying on it for travel decisions.
AI features are subject to usage limits that vary by subscription tier. These limits may change at our discretion. Exceeding usage limits will temporarily restrict access to AI features until the limit resets.
You agree not to use the AI features to:
The Document Vault stores scanned documents exclusively on your device. Documents are protected with iOS file-level encryption and optional biometric authentication.
You are responsible for:
The Vault is designed to store sensitive personal documents. We do not access, transmit, or process the contents of your Vault.
You retain ownership of all content you create or upload through the App, including trip plans, photos, notes, and scanned documents ("User Content").
By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services (e.g., syncing data, generating AI recommendations). We do not use your User Content for any other purpose.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree not to upload content that:
The App uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your travel data across your Apple devices. This sync is tied to your Apple ID and is governed by Apple's iCloud Terms of Service.
We do not control iCloud's availability or performance. Data sync may be delayed or interrupted due to factors outside our control, including network conditions and iCloud service status.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we do not guarantee against data loss. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important information.

The App, including its design, code, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by us and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
"Jornada" and associated logos are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written consent.
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the App may be used by us without obligation or compensation to you.
The App integrates with third-party services including Google (Places API, Sign-In), Apple (WeatherKit, Sign-In, iCloud), Anthropic (Claude AI), and RevenueCat. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
The App may display links to third-party websites and applications (e.g., Google Maps, Waze, place websites). We are not responsible for the content, terms, or practices of any third-party services.
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The App is a planning tool and does not replace professional travel advice. You are responsible for all travel decisions, including verifying safety conditions, entry requirements, health advisories, and local regulations at your destinations.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us and our officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Brazil, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in Brazil.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
